Army Modernization Priorities
U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command
The DEVCOM team of teams provides scientific and engineering expertise to support six modernization priorities and the 31+4 signature efforts led by Army Futures Command and the Cross Functional Teams in order to enable a Multi-Domain Operations capable force by 2028.
- Long Range Precision Fires – DEVCOM’s Armaments Center serves as the command’s lead integrator with the LRPF Cross Functional Team, with support from ARL and the C5ISR, Aviation & Missile and Data & Analysis Centers.
- Next Generation Combat Vehicle – DEVCOM’s Ground Vehicle Systems Center serves as the command’s lead integrator with the NGCF CFT, with support from ARL and the C5ISR, Chemical Biological, Armaments, Aviation & Missile and Data & Analysis Centers.
- Future Vertical Lift – DEVCOM’s Aviation & Missile Center serves as the command’s lead integrator with the FVL CFT, with support from ARL, and the Armaments, C5ISR and Data & Analysis Centers.
- Army Network and Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing – DEVCOM’s C5ISR Center serves as the command’s lead integrator with the Net CFT and APNT CFT, with support from the Army Research Laboratory and the Aviation & Missile, Soldier and Data & Analysis Centers.
- Air and Missile Defense – DEVCOM’s Aviation & Missile Center serves as the command’s lead integrator with the AMD CFT, with support from the Army Research Laboratory and the Armaments, C5ISR, and Data & Analysis Centers.
- Soldier Lethality and Synthetic Training Environment – DEVCOM’s Soldier Center serves as the command’s lead integrator with the SL CFT and STE CFT, with support from the Army Research Laboratory and the Armaments, C5ISR and Data & Analysis Centers.
