Summary: The U.S. Coast Guard relies on SARSAT alerts from electronic safety devices to respond to mariners in peril. But false alerts drain resources and risk personnel safety. Using Natural Language Processing, we aim to pinpoint indicators of false alarms, optimizing response to genuine emergencies.
