Summary: The team has designed and tested novel prototypes for defensive missile nosecones that can protect sensitive guidance systems from debris fragments encountered at near-hypersonic speeds. This team’s solutions will be critical enabling technologies to help protect the homeland and friendly forces in future near-peer conflicts.
